Elder Tanner Bennett was a guest on a previous episode of LDS MissionCast. He agreed to share his mission letters with the readers of our blog. So each week we will bring a letter from his mission. We will interview him at the conclusion of his mission as well. So stay tuned and stay connected to Tanner’s story each week on the LDS MissionCast Blog!

Hello my beloved friends and family!

This week has for sure been a stunner! We have 3 people committed to baptism on date, ready to go and 4 more who are getting their dates this week! August is gonna be a busy month haha.

This week has been INSANE! The work is picking up here and our now 17 investigators all over the county are slowly killing me haha. I only say that because we’re biking north of 250 miles a week (we did some math, it was wrong, but this one is right, sorry mom). It’s intense, it’s hard work, but my faithful bike, Heidi and I are making it happen!
Some updates, 劉弟兄 Liu dixiong is having some problems getting an answer to his prayer about baptism, he’s willing to pray and does, he just needs confirmation, please keep him in your prayers.

何姐妹 He Jiemei is getting baptized! She got her date set and she is LOCKED AND LOADED. She came to church again and bore her testimony in gospel docterine. Shes so cool. Speaking of church, I can now understand the whole meeting! That was a cool experience, it’s amazing how wonderful the gift of tongues is, I love that blessing. It’s hard, and takes effort, but I’ve done more with the Lord in this short span of time than I have done in my whole life combined!
Henry, Henry is cute. he’s 9 and wants to take the discussions before his baptism. He’s scheduled also for August. I like this kid, photo included this week.
In other news, my companion is sick, and the mansion is clean! -woah, sorry did you hear that? I think it was an angelic chorus! the battle with the Ants is now over, and I have conquered victorious! Dumb things. Now we gotta deal with the fruit flies, but 慢慢來, it’s all slowly coming haha. Now, as far as things go with Elder Jacobs, he’s sad France won, and he’s even sadder he couldn’t watch the finals. However, our new investigators and baptismal dates have cured his soccer blues!
民雄, minxiong is still killing it, and I’m SO excited to get to serve here! transfer calls went out and I have a new zone and district leader! I get to meet them Thursday, and I think they’ll be super cool!

Also this week I met with President Card in our first interview. He’s such an amazing man. I respect the heck out of him. He has an amazing story and is truly a man called of God.
I love this work, I know the Lord has truly prepared these people to hear this gospel. I see miracles everyday. My dear friends and family, God lives. Miracles happen on earth today! I know that Jesus is the Christ and I feel honored to serve him here.
I’m so sorry my English is so bad, but I’ll share what I want in mandarin below. I love you all!
